There are a lot of things that caused the great depression the first thing that lead to the great depression was the stock market crash of 1929. The people how had money in stocks at this time lost over 40 billion dollars worth of stocks. Another thing that mad the great depression worce was that people wouldn't spend and money that they had this lead to the down fall of the united states economy. Another thing that lead to the great depression was the unemployment rate whitch at the time was 25% of all amaricans. Out of a job. The last thing that lead to the great depression was isolationalism this made uscome detached from europe and also made us stop trading with them
ReplyDeleteMany things caused the great depression, the stock market crash, people not spending money, and unimployment rate. The stock market crash of 1929, was when many people had many stocks and lost over 40 billion dollars due to those stocks failing. When the people didnt spend money it led to the fall of the U.S. economy. With unimployment rate being so high, many people were left jobless which means they didnt have money to live proper lives.
